The mission of the Ravalli County Planning Department is to administer and facilitate the processes of land use planning, subdivision review, and floodplain management in order to promote a high quality of life while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Ravalli County. Natural Resource Use Policy

The Board of County Commissioners held a public meeting on the November 21, 2012 and adopted Resolution #2978, thus approving the adoption of the Natural Resource Use Policy.

Subdivision Regulations - Effective and Adopted

The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) held a public meeting on April 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and approved the amended subdivision regulations. The approved, amended subdivision regulations will go into effect on Monday June 4, 2012. Copies of the adopted, recorded Subdivision Regulations are available via the link immediately below.

Building for Lease or Rent 

Due to the 63rd Legislature and the Governor of Montana establishing a new land use review process, applicable to buildings for rent or lease, to become effective September 01, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners held public hearings on the proposed regulations governing review on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at 9:00 a.m..

Said public hearing was continued on Friday August 30, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.. A copy of adopted Resolution No. 3064, dated August 30, 2013 is available per the link immediately below:
